What is ScriptDraft?

ScriptDraft is an AI-powered screenplay writing app available on iOS, Android, and the web. It lets you write, outline, and develop screenplays with AI assistance — scene generation, voice-to-script dictation, scene polish, and more — while keeping your scripts securely synced across devices.

Do I need an account to use ScriptDraft?

You need an account to use cloud sync and AI features. You can sign up for free with your email address.

Is there a free plan?

Yes. ScriptDraft is free to download and use. Free accounts receive a welcome credit allowance for AI features. Additional AI credits and unlimited sync are available on the Pro subscription.

Which platforms is ScriptDraft available on?

ScriptDraft is available on iOS (iPhone and iPad), Android, and as a web app at app.scriptdraft.io. All platforms share the same account and sync automatically.

Account and billing

How do I reset my password?

On the sign-in screen, tap Forgot password and enter your email address. You'll receive a reset link within a few minutes. Check your spam folder if it doesn't arrive.

How do I cancel my Pro subscription?

iOS / App Store: Open the Settings app → Apple ID → Subscriptions → ScriptDraft → Cancel Subscription.

Android / Play Store:Open the Play Store → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → ScriptDraft → Cancel.

Web (Stripe): Go to Settings → Billing inside the app and tap Manage subscription.

Your Pro access continues until the end of the current billing period.

Can I get a refund?

For purchases made through the App Store, refunds are handled by Apple. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com. For Play Store purchases, visit Google Play's support. For direct web subscriptions, contact us at and we'll help.

How do I delete my account?

You can permanently delete your account and all associated data from within the app:

iOS / Android: Settings → Account → Delete Account.

Web: Settings → Account → Delete Account.

Account deletion is permanent and irreversible. All your scripts, synced data, and account information will be removed. If you have an active subscription, cancel it before deleting your account to avoid further charges.

If you're unable to access the app, email us at and we'll process the deletion manually within 5 business days.

How do I export my scripts before deleting my account?

Go to any script → tap the export icon → choose Export as FDX or Export as PDF. You can also export all scripts from Settings → Account → Export all data.

Sync and data

My scripts aren't syncing. What should I do?

  1. Check that you're signed in to the same account on all devices.
  2. Make sure you have an active internet connection.
  3. Pull down to refresh on the projects list to trigger a manual sync.
  4. Force-quit and reopen the app.
If sync is still stuck after these steps, contact us at with your device model and OS version.

I accidentally deleted a scene. Can I recover it?

Deleted scenes are soft-deleted and may be recoverable within a short window. Contact us at as soon as possible with your script name and the approximate time of deletion and we'll do our best to restore it.

Is my data backed up?

Yes. Your screenplay data is stored in our secure cloud database (Supabase) with automated backups. For additional peace of mind, you can export your scripts as FDX or PDF at any time from within the app.

AI features

What AI features does ScriptDraft offer?

ScriptDraft includes scene generation, scene polish, voice-to-script dictation, beat-card outlining, coverage reports, and translation. AI features consume credits; your balance is shown in Settings → Wallet.

What are credits and how do I get more?

Credits are the currency for AI features. Every new account receives a welcome credit grant. Pro subscribers receive a monthly stipend of credits. Additional credit packs can be purchased from Settings → Wallet.

Why did an AI feature fail?

AI features depend on an internet connection and our AI backend (Google Gemini). Temporary outages can cause failures. Try again after a moment. If a feature consistently fails, check that you have enough credits (Settings → Wallet) and contact us if the issue persists.

Does ScriptDraft use my scripts to train AI models?

No. Your screenplay content is not used to train any AI models — ours or anyone else's. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

Voice and microphone

Why is the microphone not working?

ScriptDraft needs microphone permission to record voice dictation. Go to your device Settings → ScriptDraft → Microphone and make sure it is enabled. Then return to the app and try again.

The transcription is inaccurate. How can I improve it?

Speak clearly and reduce background noise. The voice feature works best in a quiet environment. You can always edit the transcription result before it's inserted into your script.
